In my school all we had was a lower and higher tier paper, so I am right. What would be the point in me making that up, pathetic idiot. 😞
Originally posted by Freddie2006Mine was for my exams and my coursework and I was in lower, when really I should have been in higher. Same happened with my geography, got put in lower and I got 100% for my mark, but C was the highest mark I could get 🙁 Dumbass teachers, I was predicted a B aswell 😞
I have no idea, it was too long ago. I know I got 2 Cs for the science papers doing the middle tier of exams. I think I got about 50% but am not entirely sure.
Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugAre you randomly qualified to discuss this? I am talking about science not always being right. Yet they claim it as fact. Then when another theory comes along they claim that as fact. What I am saying is science is a good thing, and very interesting. But too many use small bits of information and then think that was how it was everywhere. A good scientist doesn't except everything written on paper as fact. They always have some doubt. Doubt leads to discovery. There are many scientific discoveries that have been concluded. Yet the door should always be left open to some degree. Because more and more we find new evidence that what I am saying about science is fact. I watched a documentary on how scientist thought that some erosion took millions of years. All evidence pointed in that direction. Until someone showed how it was more likely a result of a catastrophic event that took place in a day or so. By the collapse of an Ice Dam. It hasn't been long since science thought ulcers was caused by stress. Now we know it is caused by bacteria. And can be aggravated by stress. On a financial basis this upset the medical community because they would rather treat the symptom as opposed to the cause. But enough of this it is off topic.
Are you speaking from the point of view of a Christian by any chance? How old do you think the universe is? And life on Earth?
Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugAs far as I am aware there are no maximum grades available for science. Perhaps you are confusing it with the maths gradings. Or perhaps we did different exam boards.
Did you do the higher grade paper and he did the lower one? So maybe he got 98% on a paper where c was the maximum grade and you got 50% on a paper where an A grade was possible?
Originally posted by expressiveoutburstDo you not think that perhaps the only reason you got 100% was because you were doing the easier paper?

I didn't agree with you at all. 😕

I don't now how things are done at school these days but I thought that someone could take an easier paper in Maths or Science where the max grade available was a C, and the students that took the easier paper were more likely to get a C grade that way then by getting a lower mark on the harder paper.
Originally posted by Freddie2006Well in geography it is the same paper, just the higher people have to explain their answers more than the lower people. I am quite capable of explaining my answers further so would have coped easily with the higher paper, as I was predicted a B anyway.
