Dismal performance from England, but it was pretty obvious from the moment the team was announced. No proper winger on the left would leave Ashley Cole too busy to go forward and therefore the narrow formation made their attacking play all too predictable for the Algerians. Also, Rooney clearly wasn't playing well and should have been substituted at the break.
Bad game, Capello deserves a lot of criticism for this.

Capello was gifted with a second yellow card for Carragher. Now he's forced to sit a spent player down and won't have to rack his own brain to decide on a better player. Anyone could do better. I dare say, however, James was impressive compared to Green! In the end 0-0 as I predicted. I really doubt England will advance. Now they go up against the tight and strong defense of Slovenia. Pray tell how England is going to score. Rooney has not scored in his last seven caps. Why is he even in? If Capello is a genius he would sit him and let him simmer to start a spark!
