Lampard in the first half when the keeper spilled it and it went to Owen. And Crouch's shot at the post looked like itmight have gone in if there wsn't a goal keeper anywhere. But it was lame.

What a crap match! 😞 Second round, Sven should start with Rooney and Owen up front and have Lennon on the right with Beckham as a full back like today, when they actually started to play!

Carragher, as Neville won't be available anyway, may as well play the system that won the game rather than starting with a team that can't play together.

So you reckon 3-5-2. Despite the gaping weaknesses at the back exposed by Cornell Glen, who took on the entire England defence and almost scored; three times.

No, not 3-5-2, play a 4-4-2, but with Beckham as a full back and given a free area to roam in, also maybe drop Gerrard back abit more so there is a bit more cover.

Beckham at right back? Please tell me you are joking. He is too important an attacking player to be playing right back. England would lose out on attacking options.

I might suggest something like this. I'd wouldn't be too worried to leave Owen out, playing 4-5-1. I hope this link works.

edit: crap it didn't. Send me an email address and I'll show you what I mean.

Beckham would be in a role that Neville usually plays, just like he was doing in the latter part of the game. Lennon was right wing type position and Beckham was at right back with a free role to come forward. I don't give out my email address sorry.
