City dominated in the first half but just couldn’t score, a couple of excellent Liverpool goals but overall City probably edged it I agree, Sterling had a chance to win it at the end but then Liverpool should’ve been 3-2 up by that stage so a draw probably fair.
We were slow starters again today. Draw was a fair result. Nice to see Salah beginning to get recognised as one of the very best. Excellent goal. We are a bit easier to defend against without Trent.

Second league game on the trot where we've had a lead to see out and we've continued to play an open game. We just don't believe in seeing games out with stale passing, taking the ball to the corner flag, spending too long on the floor, game management. Overall it seems to work for us though.

A bit nervous in the first half, but it was good to see Klopp yelling “be brave” towards the end of the first 45; easy to imagine what the team talk was like!

Salah’s goal was utterly sublime; reminded me of George Best in his heyday.

Some crazy score-lines over the weekend, most notably…

Liverpool beating a poorly organised Manchester United 0-5 at Old Trafford; a Utd home game outcome against the Reds not equalled since the dawn of time … or something like that. The awfully arrogant Paul Pogba getting sent off and the oily Ronaldo almost sent off due to a touch-line kicking hissy fit.

Also league leaders Chelsea thrash a hapless and has to be said spineless Norwich City 7-0 in a game which could easily have been 10 or more.

    Good TV.

Last couple of years the harbour masters in Merseyside would’ve been appreciated in Manchester, their trawlers seem to want to put in the long hours at sea to catch as many fish as possible.
I think they need to cast thier net further afield.

Thought the trawler should have been sent back to the harbour in disgrace after the hissy fit. Sickened by the challenge on Keita as well.

Great to watch teams scoring freely in the easier games, but whoever wins the league this season is going to do it with a high points total. I think it will come down to who gives away leads in the final minutes and who grinds out the result and gets over the line in their less good performances. Hope we are not talking about away to Brentford at the end of the season. Liverpool still attacking with all four forwards on the pitch concede the late equaliser. Chelsea bring on Reese James who spends three of the final seven minutes on his back after minor contact and they get over the line after one shot on target to Brentford's seven.

Not at all bitter. Genuine complement to Tuchel. He sent James on to do a job and in doing so he told his whole squad about the importance of those moments.

It’s not a “genuine compliment” at all, don’t be dishonest. You're just another Pool fan whining.

Next one of your defenders will get injured, you’ll drop 4 points over two games and be blaming the tough grass for robbing you.

Meh, Utd have been crap for so long it’s not even fun mocking them anymore.

Liverpool we’re sizzling hot, passed and moved with lightening pace and finished clinically.

(Edit: that’s what a “genuine compliment” reads like Relentless Red.)

It's a mystery to me whether you miss the point or just like winding people up. Enjoy your time at the top, but remember it's still only October. 😉
