Not necessarily your absolute all-time favorite or anything. Sometimes that can be hard to pin down. But, if you had to name a book that really moved you...a book you consider a work of inspired creative genius...what would it be?

Here's one of my picks:

"Hunger", by Knut Hamsun

The entire book is online at Google books. A fascinating read no matter what your outlook on life is.

I'd rather have a red hot poker stuck up my arse than have to read Atlas shrugged...

Anywho...

Catch 22
Lord of the Rings
Foucault's pendulum
The ragged trousered philanthropists
Trinity (Leon Uris)
The search for Robbie Howett (obviously).

Shantaram was excellent.
Johnny Depp is going to star in the movie.

I haven't read the book, but the film is excellent, too.

One of my current favourites:

"Beretninger om beskyttelse" (Tales of Protection) by Erik Fosnes Hansen

Oh, you mean the book... That actually sounds very interesting. I'll put it on my "to read" list.
