I was a child when I first watched it

scared the crap out of me and has been a favorite ever since

'Kind Hearts and Coronets' (1949). Alec Guinness at his best.

The 39 steps (1935). Love Hitchcock's early movies and this is the best.

Don't forget 'the big Sleep' with a very young Lauren Bacall and Bogey. I just saw it for the first time on TCM. My wife refuses to watch a B&W movie, we love old western but they better be in color😉
