My favourite part was when the world saw how big a diving cheating scumbag C.Ronaldo was.

What was yours?

the above named player scoring the penalty that meant we didnt need to suffer the constant ingerlund's going to win it nonsense!!!!!!!!!, when their performances did not merit such an obsence comment. the other favourite moment was all the bleating about the referee on this very website by ingerlunders.

on a serious point it wont be remembered as one of the best world cups, and the knockout stages produced a lot of disappointing games that could have been classics on paper.

My condolences. If all you get from following soccer is anger and bitterness, maybe you should find another hobby.

Italy-Germany was my favorite part too. Maybe the best game I've seen.

Best game of the tournament.

Best parts apart from that, Argentina's goal of the tournament and the sight of C.Ronaldo crying after losing to France.

My favorite part was discovering just how much I've missed by not watching soccer. It was fun to live and die with my team as they had their ups and downs.

Soccer has a new fan.

Nah, that's the best part of it.

My second favourite bit was the game where the ref sent 4 off and issued 16 yellow cards - that was brilliant.

Agreed that Italy v Germany was pretty special.

There were other great games as well - one that springs to mind was watching the Czech Republic being ripped apart by Ghana.

But being parochial, the last 10-15 minutes of Australia v Japan is going to live long in the memory.

Well, if you're talking about goals, Beckhams goal against Brazil was a good one, better than any of Crouch's hat trick in the same game; Rooney's double hat trick against France in the semi-final was inspirational; then there were the dribbles that'll be talked about for decades: how Walcott got past the German defence and put 2 past Lehmann and another two past Kahn in the second half will be written into football legend.

The sportsmanship of the England team must also be praised. Robinson did well to kick the ball into his own net and after saving a penalty that Ballock really should have scored...

Of course, the bit where Beckham lifted the cup, kissed it, and held it up to the world, and Rooney and Crouch were yelling "We did it!!!!" were really good, but the best bit was really Sven doing the robot, which was just before I woke up....

The only appropriate response to this is:
