He wants somewhere where the film reviews are decided by a majority vote, rather then the tastes of a select few critics.

IMDB is the best site for finding out info about movies/actors.

IMDB ratings are generally quite good, especially because you can break down the demographic by age/sex.

I don't really read the reviews on there, because a lot of them have spoilers in them.
