Besides, did you see that (CNN?) reporter with a hose who lost his home to the fires.....a spit of water against a wall of flame.....very scary stuff.

I had the unforunate CA wildfire experience in 2005. The fire in the hills between San Jose and the Central Valley was very close to the power plant I worked at.. We had to sit there for 12 hours a shift with fire hoses and SCBAs ready, ash falling all over us..you think it looks bad on TV but really a person cannot put into words what it looks like in real life.
