It's not my style to tell others how they should think, feel or behave with the exception of coaching duties etc. (Athletes excluded!) And I am not trying to "be the know it all", but it seems to me that you have set your first love up on some kind of pedistal. Maybe you need to dwell on some of the bad times you had. Obviously, it was not God's will ...[text shortened]... is your best friend and your true First Real love. I think he as well as your kids deserve that.
God's will.... your right! And I do not question that. Why it never dies is?It is how I should deal with it. Just curious of how others do.🙂
*Last* love never dies.
May be I'm posting this into the wrong thread,

I don't know what to say, LittleBear.
Your post and your profile poem touched me to the heart.
I wish you strength in carrying the loss of your beloved wife.
