I'm comtemplating on buying one for my comp. my roommate has "Joint Operation:Typhoon Rising" and it look awesome.

Any suggestions?

I am my favorite 'first person shooter'.

I recently went to a games conference and saw F.E.A.R First Encounter Assault Recon and it looked awesome, scared the life out of me and the effects were fantastic, but its not out for a few weeks yet. Might be worth a look, if not Half life 2.

Half Life 2 look great, but i'm kinda looking for realism. I'm a fan of the Rainbow 6 games on my XBOX.

Battlefield 2 is looking pretty good (Xbox, but I've heard great things about the CPU version also).

Call of Duty 2 for the Xbox360 is suppossed to be smokin'.

Battlefield 2 on the PC. Far, far superior to Join Operations.

An RHP squad can sometimes be seen plodding around war zones in the Middle East and China.

Counter-Strike is a good bet. Playing against bots gets boring after a while since they have patterns but online play is awesome.

Now that was a game! I played Spear of Destiny for years, even when games with better graphics and better gameplay came out. Just somehing about it, pure classic quality.

Wolfenstein 3D was bloody good as well, I might just load that up again, been a couple of years since I played it last.

I played it for ages too. I finished W 3D on the top level (I can't remember the difficulty level names but the guy looked meaner on his picture as it got harder).

On S.of.D I played it for ages but got stuck on a maze level where you started inside one cube and one wall was a secret wall which opened up more space. You just had to click all the secret walls and I could never get past it. I remember that 'cos it frustrated me sooo much, I thought it was a bug in the game.

P.s. I have really bad Deja-Vu right now... have we discussed this before?
