Jeez

Is a jokey comment. Very few people in UK have any interest in baseball. Total fact. Can you refer to my post and show where I insinuate that *nobody* in UK has an interest in baseball? Thought not. I await the apology, breath abated

You seem to have trolled this Wolfe guy on this thread, and succeeded in totally changing the point of if, which is the World Cup.

Well done.

Here you go. Play your game.

You have correctly quoted me above. Please explain how that infers your *strawman* (is that right, maybe not), anyway, totally false statement that it infers/insinuated or whatever

That 'no one in the UK's interested in baseball at all'

This is going to be one of those (many) threads that you choose to ignore from now, isn't it?

That I keep taunting you with

You see , the 'rounders over here' is often a term of endearment for the few who find any interest in baseball

Back, if possible, to the subject of the thread.

A workmanlike win for France today. Hopefully will be a repeat of 'Waterloo' on Sunday!

Baseball or rounders as I call it. Is getting more and more popular pastime in Glasgow many people carry a baseball bat in their car nowadays although they mainly use it to crack heads perhaps eventually they might get an interest in the game...😉

That's my hope.

France is a fine young team. But England has a lot of weapons at peak too.

I think England succeeds tomorrow.

Then, in the Championship Game, the team that scores first... wins. I say this because both teams have appeared fiercely impenetrable when playing to defend.

In either case, it'll be fun to watch.

Go England! 🙂

Dear God! What has happened to this thread? Very new to this site and can't believe I had to read through all that. What a load of dribble.

Dribble... geddit? Like as in soccer/football? Because while you lot are arguing, there's a football tournament going on!!!!

So did anyone watch the Belgium v France game? I think France did outplay Belgium and deservedly won. My head had France winning that game, but my heart said Belgium. It didn't live up to all the excitement that the Belgian games usually generate!

Id say there's more who are interested in baseball than you think. Yes, it's never going to be a popular sport, certainly not as much as football, rugby or cricket but it does have a following and there's leagues around the UK. Not to mention that for the first time next year two regular season mlb games are coming to London, red sox vs NY Yankees, that wouldn't happan if there wasn't an interest for it.

Anyway, damn French. Belgium were better... looks like France will win it now though.

G'day bigazza

It is what happens on lots of threads when the poster D64 gets involved.

Basically, she has followed this 'Wolfe' guy onto this thread to do what she does best. Lots of pasting of wickipedia (though thankfully we seem to be spared that on this thread at present), lots of use of the word 'troll', usually with some description such as 'lying' 'illiterate', 'racist'(uses that one a lot!), 'mysogenistic' etc.

I am currently 'sneering', which has a certain badge of honour to it, don't you think?

Anyway, World Cup. Yes, think France look a solid, very skilful team. It isnt just the much vaunted forward players, their defence is excellent too. Clearly they will be favourites whoever they play in the final from Croatia or England.

England need to convert every chance tonight. We are guilty of (unless it falls to Harry Kane) not being clinical enough in front of goal. I hope for the best, but expect the worst!
