@drewnogal said30 different ones each and every week is far over the top in my opinion.
30 is now the new 5 with a recommendation of improving your gut microbiome and resistance to disease and illness by eating 30 different plant based foods each week.
Which ones are you getting?
I eat:
vegetables:
Peppers, Tomatoes, Kohlrabi, cucmber, carrots, beetroot (all of these raw or cooked)
Peas, beand, cabbage, rice, potatoes, fennel, celery, broccoli, Indian corn (cooked)
Rucola, napa cabbage, Valarianella, other salad varieties (as salad)
fruit:
apples, pears, cherries, grapes, melon, peaches, apricots, figs
All of the above in season. I got not 30 and I never ahve eaten all of that i one week...
@ponderable saidDo you go up the stairs?

Told her beer was plant based so will increase my consumption of that.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidAnd coffee... Have already had a 4 shots this morning, that must count as 2.
At least one of them is chocolate.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidThat is why some wanted to call it "vegelate" 😉

If you like to snack: dried apricots (the brown ones) and dates. Prefer dates to biscuits.
Not sure about this counting vegetables though. You get lots of different ones in a stir fry which is okay, but is it really better than a spinach curry with just spinach and onion in it? Do that with potato instead of lamb sometimes so that is three.
Getting into roast vegetables. Aubergine, red onion, leek, yellow and red peppers chopped fairly small on a baking tray. Pour oil over them, salt, pepper, garlic granules, paprika, mild chilli powder and roast for 30 mins on 180°C. This is seriously nice. Make too much and stick some in a bowl in the fridge to have in a sandwich the next day or with rice, it's that good.
@ponderable saidThat’s very good. Bet you eat grains, seeds, herbs and spices too?
