I have not discussed any of the following with them, and do not know if this idea would be acceptable to them or not, but.... Ma ...[text shortened]... be established for tournaments, site functions, site help, etc.

Just my thought,

I'm being serious here. I want 2 be on it.

If rwingett and bbar get on you won't have a chance to get on. 🙁

But they aren't leading it. Anyway I want 2 be on what's the harm of letting me?

We'll have to see whether the site owners want to go for this idea first.
It seems eminently sensible to me.
The moderators should be fair, responsible, reasonable and unbiased.

Marc,

I think your intentions are honorable and I would support this in any way possible. Unfortunately I think this is doomed to fail because I don't see how you can create guidelines on the content of this forum. Most of the complaints have been due to what most of us would call 'spam'. Who can say that what someone has to say is not considered worth viewing by others? The argument about the 'quality' of the posts is one I've expressed myself. I just don't see how it can be changed.

I still believe that the only way to help is to have a forum for 'silliness and spamming' and all others are for serious discussions. If anyone posts stupid remarks in the serious forums and causes many complaints they get banned from the serious forums for a certain timeframe (or forever).

The problem is that the problem isn't quantifyable it is a judgement call about what is appropriate.

CFC you are one of the primary reasons for the proposed idea of a forum commitee. Why on earth do you think you'd be suitable for it when you fail to understand that you have done anything wrong?

But not enough, apparently, to pay for it.

Look, I don't run the site.
But like it or not, there is a two tier system here.
Paying members get certain privileges which non members do not.
Why should a non-payer be allowed as a moderator when they don't care enough to shell out ten quid for the site!

Who cares? There r a lot of non pawnstars who who don't want 2 be one and they would still like 2 be a committe member.

Well they can like all they want. My feeling is they will not be allowed.

I think this situation can be solved by simply issuing spammers a warning, followed up by a ban from the forums. Possibly those that are existing moderators could act as "spam busters" as well. Personally I would start off by banning CFC and Living Legend.

You're making a great case against yourself here CFC.

Varg's opinion makes the most sense to probably 90% of the members. Non-Paying people who play here don't have any rights when deciding something like this. Becoming a star shows you care as actions speak louder than words.
