Were I ever to subscribe to this site it certainly wouldn't be for the forums. Rumour has it they are moderated, but reading through threads like this in a forum supposedly about chess you have to wonder. Then there are the many threads that start off about chess before being derailed by the usual suspects who, lacking any useful insight that's in any way chess related (a reflection of their playing ability I suppose), still feel the need to prove their idiocy by hitting the "post" button.
Not being that high rated a player myself, this isn't intended to be any kind of a slam against lower rated players; however its a little jarring to a newer member to begin reading a chess site's chess forum and discover it to be dominated by the spew of 1100 rated players who seem to take pride in putting their ignorance and obnoxiousness on display for all to see.
