Real fights are quick and end in some kind of injury, unless you're super evenly-matched. Then it can get bad if neither backs down. Like I said, I've learned to run in those cases.

You must be old and not used to modern young women.
It is rare I'll admit that but it does happen. Enough to change the self defense law.
