Game 1265911

EDIT: On a more helpful tip;

1. A 2000+ players rating increases 0 points playing sub 1400.

2. You could try challenging them to a CLAN game, then they stand to gain something.

3. Tournaments has already bee ...[text shortened]... 4. Start beating 1700's first!! If you beat a few of them, you'll be playing 2000+ in no time!
In fairness showing a game the was lost by timeout reveals little.

The other way to play high rated players is PM them first, ask politely. If their in your clan they might want to help you too.

Now, I understand that 1. they do not improve from games with lower rated people, and 2. it is not their fault they do not want to play us lower ratings. However, I think it is simply not fair that newcomers cannot play the higher ...[text shortened]... at newcomers can play anyone, and after they are rated their restrictions should go into effect.
Perhaps you should think about the other side of the coin. I fancy myself probably a 1500-ish player who's had to struggle up to the low 1400's where I am now by playing the 1100's and such who take up my open invite games. Imagine my surprise when one of my games was picked up by an 1800 player. I'll likely lose that game in pyrotechnical style, so that will slow my rise further... thankfully not by much tho, since he's so much higher rated than me.

If you fancy yourself so much higher than your beginning 1200 rating then just play to enjoy your game... the cream will rise to the top. But once you get there, see if you still have this feeling that 1800+ players should be forced to play these provisional people. And I'm speaking from the provisional side... I think I have like 8 or so games to go to get a non-provisional rating...

Well, just for the sake of it, now that I 've been here a while, I can complain.

Why can't I play the top members? Not to win, just to learn. It's not fair!
Because they don't want to waste their time? They gain nothing by taking the time to destroy you.

Same reasons your open invites with >2000 and >2100 are stinking up the joint.
I got rid of the one I could.

EDIT: invigorate, they're.

Are you willing to play lower rated players or are you only interested in seeing your numbers on the rise.

It's all about making friends Abe.

Enjoy and best of luck.

Is that a tip from the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People"?

Challenge them to an unrated game. That way they can't lose points and you get to play great players.
