My late aunt suffered from it for years, tried everything and nothing worked much for her. She had trouble sleeping because of it and the doctor gave her a strong sleeping aid. I’ve forgotten the name, no longer allowed on the market here – Halicon/Halcion (sic?) I actually used to buy it OTC in Switzerland for myself, to sleep. Well, the next time the gout cleared up it never came back. Something in the sleeping aid did the trick was the only thing we could figure. She lived her last 4-5 years gout free.
Here in the great US of A the government has decided it knows what it best for us to have/not have…our money being in the latter category. I bought a nasal snuff for years…just kept it in the car as I get nervous in traffic and a couple of bumps calmed me down…I can no longer buy it because the manufacturer (in UK?) will not put all the contents on the tin!
