what, in your opinion, is the greatest album ever? albums that'll have, like, changed the face of music? or are just a sheer joy to listen too. and none of this slipknot cause they fucking rule crap, i mean-my top two for it were the n/m the bollocks, and black in black...not maiden...(o.k.-so the next, like, 16 are maiden...but hey-nobody's perfect...)
no best of's though!
my greatest...back in black!
i mean-those bells at the start...if goods on the left, then i'm sticking to the right!
shoot to thrill...
what do you do for money, honey-i mean, c'mon-tis about an aging prostitute who can't get anybody!
Given the dog a bone-the riffs at the start had my dad thinking something blasphmous, and pretty dang rockus was about to be sung...ut i've geven the dog a bone!. it always brings a smile to my face...
Let me put my love into you-great song, need i say more?
Back in Black-the title song. that iintroduction. those riffs. that solo. omg! haven't figured out what the lyrics are about thouigh, but hey-that's beside the point...Outta sight!!!
you shook me all ngiht long-sung this at a kareoke once. i sucked. but i still love it...she was a fast machine, kept her motor clean-the best damn woman i've ever seen-she had these sanctless eyes, telling me no lies...meh-i forget the rest...but still-waw!
have a drink on me-my glass is getting shorter on whisky, ice and water...and you know you always thought justin hawkins screaming guitar at the start of the solo for i beleve... was stating the obvious, but it's just the way mr johnston says get stoned as if it's the only thing to do, and you like-why didn't i think of that? as the solo kicks in...nice solo too, kinda slow though...
shake a leg-tis random. nice un though!
Rock and roll ain't noise pollution-that moody introduction...*click of cigarette lighter* *inhale* *exhale*
(All right)
Hey there, all you middle men
Throw away your fancy clothes
And while you're out there sittin' on a fence
So get off your ass and come down here
'Cause rock 'n' roll ain't no riddle man
To me it makes good, good sense................
amazing song. amazing end to an amazing album. listen to it, and you'll see where the darkness get some of their best ideas from also watch van halen live (david lee roth kicks hawkins butt!) and there's a bit o queen there too...but yeah-AC/DC rock. a lot.
every songs a highlight...some are just higher than others...also-to kinda back me up, isn't that the biggest selling album of all time? or one of, or something...i forget exactly...but it's £17 in virgin and HMV when i got it, and sold out in TMZDT (o.k.-so i got it from avalance for £12 or something, but £17? well-it is kinda worth it...not got it? go get it!)
Yeah I'd go along with that. I bought the album when it first came out and still have a vinyl copy although it is the third one as I've worn out the other two! I also have a CD copy and have seen the band on numerous occasions. I do have other Floyd stuff but this is one that stands the test of time.
