Hoped Pastor Duecer would reply. Since you did first, here are a few facts: #1. As of the moment, he and I each have three threads on page one which account for 54 and 158 member posts, respectively. #2. Going back five pages to 6 September '09, he accounts for five threads during the 18 days or a new one about every three and a half days, while I account for nine of the one hundred and fifty (150) total threads or a new one every two days. #3. Overall post volume for the 5 and 9 threads averages 15 (76/5) and 51 (463/9). What am I missing?

I am all for your right to post, Bobert. I just think you're a stupid dummy head.

To answer that, we have to talk about standards... and that's a can of worms better left unopened.

Russ & Chris know that not everyone plays chess well or receives the same level of satisfaction from the game. They also obviously know that the 'talking game' has always been and still is the best game in town. Why, you ask? Because all members have opinions and are quite adept at shooting their mouths off. So the format priority of providing a variety of viable public forums on this chess site represents an astute and visionary business decision. A good forum is a lively forum. A lively forum embraces rough and tumble give and take, healthy tolerance for sharp differences in points of view and member/subscriber freedom not only of speech but to be themselves.

May I remind you that neither Boston Lad nor gb ever consent to doing shabby street work as somebody's organ grinder or tim cup monkey. Will assure you, however, that the basis of most all effective humor is the perception and re-telling of incongruities. Always smiled over Robert Frost's forgotten two liner: "Forgive Oh, Lord, my little jokes on Thee/ and I'll forgive thy great big one on me."

nobody's hijacking my threads and attacking me in them, that would account for about 80% of what is posted in your threads. maybe that's a good place to start.

Note: I am not attcking you here; the thread was already hijacked, and has spiraled hopelessly off topic.

Consider 3 RHP posters with your 'ambition' to start new threads and go out of their way to bump them.

Now you have page one with 24+ threads started by 3 users.

Next imaging a 4th with your thread starting penchant.

You seem to not understand the problem with starting several threads at a time and going out of your way to keep them alive on page one. Sure Russ wants a lively forum, but a lively forum is NOT the job of a single man.

You almost ignore other threads just to keep your threads on page one... that's not working together, that is selfish and self fulfilling.

In reading between the lines and your continued passive aggressive behavior of slipping personal info into the gf, I sense some anger. My intuition tells me that you are frustrated because you expect people you have been friendly with in the past to be "loyal" and support you in your crusade to change the gf format from the way it has existed since its inception.
Maybe some of us like it the way it was. Maybe some of us don't like the gf, but don't want your brand of gf, or RN's brand, or duecer's brand. Maybe some of us want to post a thread and not come back in 2 hours and find it relegated to page two because someone created 4 new threads and bumped 4 others.
As for me, my loyalty is to my family and my consience, everyone else can suck it.

edit: this thread was hijacked on post number 2, so don't take credit for a great thread idea, it really belongs to Phlabbs.
