It was a cold and dark night towards the end of october. Russ was relaxing on the couch after a hard days graft, with a beer watch a dvd of "Red dwarf series 2". He had just cracked open his second beer, when suddenly the tv & light went off. "Bollox" muttered Russ under his breath. He got up and went straight to the fuse box, but nothing had been tripped. He checked outside and noticed that all the street lights & other houses were surround in darkness. "Must be a black out" he said to himself. He rumaged around in the kitchen looking for some candles & matches. The candles were in the draw next to the sink but there were no matches. Then he remember that matches were upstairs in the bathroom cupboard. He carefully made his way up the stairs, towards the bathroom door. When out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a flicker of light, coming from a crack in the door to the spare bedroom. "Huh?" Russ was curious, he slowly push open the door to reveal the source of light. The light was coming from Russ's computer monitor screen. Russ couldn't understand it, there was no power in the whole house, the whole street, yet his computer was still working. Even more bizarre was that words seem to be being typed up on the screen. A nasty chill ran down his spine, he gingerly edged closer........

What happened next 😛
To save two people typing up different chapters to the same part of the story, what I propose is that if a person wants to add a chapter he should drop in a quick post saying that he is next. That way things should run smoother.
