Russ jumped up, there was loud crash from outside, he rush over to the window. A dustbin had been blow over in the backyard by the fierce howling wind and was being battered against the metal garage door. Then suddendly the wind dropped, the bin rolled to a standstill in the yard, the howling noise had gone. As russ turned round to re investigate the computer, the light flickered on from the landing. However on his second look,russ found there was no text on the monitor and the computer was switched off. "how strange" he mumbled to himself. He press on the on button and the computer started up its opening sequence as normal.
The light from the landing had eased Russ's fear a little, and he was no longer scared just confused & puzzled especially about the liquid that he had seen coming out of the computer. The desk was now completely dry. He ran his hand over the wooden surface, had he imaged it all ? Perhaps he'd over done it at work, Maybe there was something wrong with that beer that he had drunk ? All very strange! yet he notice that his sock still felt wet. He went to the bedroom to get a fresh pair of socks. He sat on the bed too take off his sock. The liquid on the sock was sticky & gooey. Starled he dropped the sock on the floor. His heart missed a beat, and he began to trembled as he looked at his blood covered hand.
