Before you sink into unconsciousness the night before, drink at least a pint of water. Obviously this won't help now, but next time... Then in the morning, take Alka Seltzer XS, not only because it contains paracetamol to aid the pain, but it will buffer the acidity in your stomach and has caffeine in it to make ...[text shortened]... ws. Then have an afternoon nap and eat when you wake up. You should feel a lot better by then.
Spoken from experience no doubt 😛-*

There are no pills to get rid of a hangover, but there are pills that stop you ever having one.

You take one pill every two or three beers and they basically absorb the alcohol.
I believe they were created by the KGB.

I reckon e ...[text shortened]... eers will have the same effect. Not good for the arteries though.
i remember reading something about it in an interview with Dr Atkins widow (of the diet fame). apparently their company sells them...found this on the internet too,

and for a hangover cure? irn-bru is apparently excellent, also keep a glass of water beside your bed when you go to sleep (best to put it there before you start drinking...) and whenever you wake up take a drink. and keep drinking water when you're out. 'cause that helps with the dehidration aspect 😉

It was a greasy Egg and Bacon roll that got through in the end.
Now, anyone for a drink? My shout!
The nice thing about hangovers is that they aren't fatal.
So as you suffer, you can be happy that at least you won't die ...

Simple, treat the cause instead of the symptom. Don't over indulge.

BOO!

The three things your body is short on after excess alcohol are potassium, fat, and water. The best source of all three is banana milkshake... it works, honest!

I always have an ice cold glass of milk. Down in one and a chocolate biscuit to replace all those lost vitamins and carbohydrate for an energy BOOST. As Starmann said though, a pint or two of water before you get your head down makes a huge difference. Helps to clears all the toxins out of your body and rehydrates you.

Water. Yep, definitely.

Coffee will make it worse. In fact, everything will make it worse.

Except water. Preferably distilled or deionized. Always keep a bottle handy.

(Of water, that is.)

First thing - if you feel sick, don't fight it. Release the poison - vomit. Now, with a completely empty stomach, you need to fill it. Bacon, sausages, eggs, beans and toast/fried bread. And a big mug of steaming hot tea.

Works like a charm.

water and exercise seems to help me, running or anything cardio to help sweat it out, then more water and a nice shower followed by food and citrus liquids

So, Seraphimvulture, pray tell....what does coffee do to elimante hangovers then??

I do, personally, like a very strong espresso if I have a hangover. It gets the disgusting taste of alcohol out of my mouth.
But, that is about it.
Caffeine can actually help relieve your headache. Excedrin, which is specifically marketed in the US (Europe too??) as a headache relief pill, is a mix of aspirin, acetaminophen (tylenol), and caffeine.

Water helps with the dehydration and helps flush toxins out. Caffeine is a painkiller but it dehydrates you more.

Bread and crackers and the like were what people used when I was in college.

Excercise! This is completly out of the question after a big one. Are you trying to kill me? Turning on the Telly (on mute) is as far as the body should go.
