Also they might want to remember that America existed long before 1776 and was largely settled by Europeans. The Dutch and Portugese made huge profits in slave trading in the new world. It's not like the USA gained independance and suddenly decided to own slaves. It was a "tradition" started by, dare I say it, Europeans.

Again they were being mistreated long before 1776, the Dutch bought a little piece of real estate called Manhatten island for a handfull of trinkets.
