Was just looking through some of the pictures my daughter drew and scanned into her "art" file on the PC. She constantly amazes me with the things she comes up with. She's a huge manga fan and has been drawing manga since she was 6 yrs old. Just in a feel like showing off kind of mom mood.

She's only 11 yrs old. She wants to go to art school after she graduates and she's hoping to go to Japan at some point as well. It's really exciting to see her start combining her work with computer technology. Mind you....I no longer get to waste my life on this thing but oh well, small price to pay. π
By next week I'll be asking her to show me how to use some of the programs I have. π

My son isn't arty, but he's creative in other ways. And he can fix my pc when things go wrong! That's great for me π

do at 34 is write nonsense stories, crappish poems, make passionate love
and program simple applications. π
She's extremely talented. I wish her luck with those art studies (like she
needs luck). I imagine you're incredibly proud of her, as any parent would
be of a child like that. π

Just kidding, but that's the only way I could draw something like that!

I saw this kid take his pictures to marvel comics, similar in style to your daughters (profile drawings), in a TV program.
The guy who looked them over said that they were 10 a penny typical. What they like to see is action drawings, not just profiles. Most of a comic is the character actually doing stuff, not posing for a profile shot....maybe you should encourage your daughter to draw the character(s) doing stuff aswell (not taking away from the talent shown in the drawings you understand, this is meant to be constructive).

Maybe you should get her a book on how to draw manga for her birthday or some other occasion. It would give her a feel for some of the tricks that are actually quite easy to do when you have talent and look really stunning. π
