Fernando JP Vasquez seems to be my toughest. I have played him many times and only made it to 20 moves once. Kirk
Thats easy!!! wWarrior is easily the hardest player i have faced here, in some situations, i have just started logins just so i could play him with out crushing my own rating, of course he beat me everytime..some games i would play perfect and i would be up a piece and soon as i became the slightest passive he would turn the game against me and destroy me!!! Highest rating that i have faced here is probably bBarr.

Who is the hardest person you have ever played on RHP? Also, who is the highest rated person you have played?
When I play Bbarr for example, I am not going to win unless he makes at least one major mistake. But, I can test out my opening, I can ensure I am not down a piece by move 10, that by move 15 my formation is not a complete mess, that by move 20 I still have some say in the game, that I am alive at move 30. I play to learn not compete (as much as I would love to be able to).
On the other hand I have just completed a 103 move draw against Bobla45 that either of us could have won, and at least on of us should have, that game had more twists and turns than any other game I have played on RHP. It was so hard as we were both evenly matched, we had both invested a lot of time and effort into the game and the whole thing was on a knife edge since about move 40. That is a lot of pressure, one mistake from move 70 onwards would have led to a loss or win.

Well remembering that there are several types of play, chess in its blitz form is its hardest in personal opinion...ever since i have been to this site i have always played this...whether i was rating 1650 or 800...i have done this. And let me tell you i have seen the better sides of both ratings. I can still give a player a great game without spending more then a sec thinking about the move. Players like DCPK, T1000, Lionel, and LUCK...all seem to be able to play atleast 50 games and maintain a high rating. Giving credit, there are other great players here who can do the same, i just havent played them yet lol. Personally..if you want to play a great game of chess probably try DCPK, bishopford....or NOGOODAMI, i have beaten all three players but on other times, the have destroyed me....
Also another great player, and very fun to chat with is skipslot...he is rated mid-1750 and is an exceptional positional player!

i would say the most difficult i have played was Dave Schliemann...i just never even felt that i had a chance of surviving. The highest ranked player i have played against is bbar (still in progress), and i'm happy still to be in (i think) ok shape after 18 moves. however, i feel the inevitable crushing is about to come my way. The highest ranked player i have won against was rated 1599.

I believe that those players who are playing very fast (blitz) have their real rating too low! They are much better players than their rating!

I agree with silver...luck and myself have had many games together, splitting wins and losses...last couple games he has beat me, harri is a very talented player and if he took it slow he would be above 1700 rating...i am sure of that, as for myself, i have taken it slow and broken 1650, but i find because its correspondance chess it is just to slow for my liking, i am a true blitz player. Good luck to Harri and other blitz players who could have higher ratings but dont really care because they love to blitzπ
belgianfreak and gburl are the hardest that I consistantly play. They always find a way to beat me. I played Schliemann once before he was chased away. I made it 34 moves before I resigned. But, I was playing to survive, not to win. I felt like I never had a chance. I would also like to play Bennett just for the conversation.
