when is the book due out?

As far as i know know offical release date has been announced but i have heard it through rumor that it should be out prior to the releas of harry potter and the goblet of fire in november of 2005 so sometime next year....I heard it is quite a bit longer than order of the phoenix over 1500 pages...but am not sure how reliable this is

What about Madam Trelawnys prophecy about Harry and voldemore what do you think will come of this. Personaly I think rowling will kill off harry in the 7th book of course killing the dark lord in the process saving the day.

This is a no-brainer. It is Dudley. Aunt Petunia has magical blood. Uncle Vernon does not. There was just a glimpse of Petunia's relationship with Lily in the last book -- enough to suggest strongly that her role will increase in the future.

I have a feeling that Snape will be the defence against the dark arts teacher in the next book. If no the 6th then definately the 7th. Or he gets killed, serving dumbledor. I heard a rumor that snape was going to fall in love as well.

Dudley can't be the Half-Blood Prince because Aunt petunia's parents were both muggles. Lily was a witch in the same way that Hermione is. Dudley is a muggle.

I don't think so, because Firenze was half breed, while being a pure blooded centaur.

Has anyone thought that this Half Blood Prince could be a whole new character alltogether?

possible, but not much fun. if it isn't volomort or HP, it could still be tom riddle, he's sort of a seperate entity. yes, one of him died, but there could be more than one of him, and we know from book three that there is time travle, so the cornology could get very nasty.

yes I quite agree Rowling has said that book six has alot to do with book two, who knows it very well could be Tom Riddle. Maybe the half blood prince is the new defense against the dark arts teacher.
