how did you handle it?
Putting our differences aside, if you believe your suffering from any disease either mental or physical, get good professional help.

If you get down during the winter you might want to try vitamin D.

My wife was on antidepressants but had to stop them when she got pregnant and has never gone back to them.

What she said really helped her was a combination of vitamin D and Rhodiola.
You can also buy a SAD light box, designed to help people feeling depressed during the winter months.

I renewed my sub already
I will support this site as long as I'm alive
it will be my light at the end of the tunnel
I've just added you to my ignore list
no need to thank me or respond
I'm gone
I'll give you a pass this time as you seem in a depressed state.

How many times does that make it you've had me on your ignore list now, I lost count. 😉

We tried one of those, it did not work for her.

Yep, it has mixed reviews. Have one client who swears by it.

Professional help is often overrated. The best cure for depression is work. These experts only try to make money off depressed people. Your marriage is on the rocks, your kids are misbehaving, your boss fired you, you have financial difficulty, you have a drug problem? Keeping yourself busy is the solution.
Go find something to do. End of story.

I strongly disagree.

What you know remains to be recognised by me. What you're talking about is enduring the issues, not working to move past them. I offer you a quote from a well known mental health practitioner.

“What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.”

There is no shame in seeking professional help.

There are some issues people can't just work through.

If you suffer from depression one of the first things you should do is have bloodwork done to see if you are deficient in any nutrients.

Force yourself to get some exercise, you do not need to run, just walking is enough. As a former competitive athlete this has been a huge change in perspective. I used to think if your shirt is not drenched in sweat, then you are not working out. Find something you do not mind doing so you will keep it up.

There are several natural supplements that can help. I already mention Rhodiola, but you can also try St. John's Wort and ashawanga.

With a solid foundation many people will self correct. If this does not work the get professional help.
