I got turned onto it by this guy I used to take chess lessons from. I was very skeptical at first, but it's really great. Very easy to operate too. Takes about 2 min to set up.
I use Skype daily, not to skype out, but to talk to other contacts with Skype installed. I do some work for someone in New Zealand and it saves me a fortune, as you can probably imagine.
It can get laggy sometimes though, I had an awful conversation the other day (UK to California) and we just over spoke each other the whole time. It still is one of the best free bits of software out there though.
