@Drewnogal saidI've never heard of it, there must not be any around here.
Do you ever use Costa?
Is it a coffee place or a coffee brand, maybe?
@Suzianne saidA coffee place. It’s our version of Starbucks I suppose. I looked it up and you do have some Costas in the states.

Oh, apparently not.
‘Costa Coffee is a British multinational coffeehouse and retail company headquartered in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Coca Cola. It is the largest coffeehouse chain in the world behind Starbucks and the largest in Britain.’
@Drewnogal saidIt appears there's a few in Houston, Dallas, Tulsa OK and Kansas City. All the rest are east of that. Quite a few, actually, but it seems like an East Coast thing.

@Drewnogal saidCosta is in Egypt as well surprisingly, was nice paying about £1 for a coffee rather than the £3/4 it is now in the UK. I prefer Nero though, the one nearby always plays classical music. Hate Starbucks though, no idea why.

@A-Unique-Nickname saidCan’t remember if I’ve ever been to a Nero. Starbucks seems the preferred place for youngsters here who like the big range of fancy drinks? They’re so expensive and take forever to prepare so a longer wait for everyone. The cake range at Costa looks great but why they can’t serve green tea in a paper tea bag I do not know. Who in their right minds wants a drink with a piece of plastic mesh steeped in boiling water?

@Suzianne saidToday I frequented 2 Costa coffee shops, approximately 3 miles apart.

True story.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidI would love to have more options than snooty Starbucks. It seems that McDonalds around here makes a decent coffee, if you can believe that, but it's just coffee, no fancy stuff like lattes.

@Suzianne saidI rarely go into Starbucks. Don't like how they insist on knowing your name.

The default name I give them is Jeremy.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidThis is a fab idea. The heartbreak of having a common name is that some other Susan walked off with my latte the other day and I got stuck with her Frappucino. It was too sweet, I had to toss it.

Maybe I'll curl my hair and use Marilyn.
No, I won't.
