PS: Have you done my 'True/False' puzzle yet? If so, I'll try to think of a continuation.
But how can you put such arbitrary limits on reference with the 'metameta=meta' business? Are you saying that commenting about commenting about some object is the same as commenting about that object, or are you suggesting that any depth of layering of reference can be referred to as 'meta'? Ie is your claim a logical one or a strictly semantic one?

I have done your puzzle, at school this afternoon (I managed to sneak in a few minutes on 'Chess at Work'.). Good job, it was quite fun to work that out.

<<Looks over to P&P for 'Continuation'.>>

Maybe it would be a good idea to first listen to the
"Metamorphoses" , a study for 23 solo strings, composed by Richard Strauss. No, no, not a family member of the Kings of the Vienna Waltzes.
Yes, the other one ... Beautiful. It only takes about 28 minutes ... πŸ˜‰

The word Faith has Stong key in this Forum. If you believe in the bible then that is your faith in God. I know Im a strong believer in God and will always be a strong believer in God. I believe that there is no same way to inturperiate (sry I cant spell to good) the bible. I think that if u read a scripture and u see it one way and another person sees it another then its ur opinon. It is between you in God in how u inturperiate the bible, As long as you talk with God about what your thinking I think It will be a good outcome. He will tell you if it is a wrong way of thinking or a Right one. So its all in your faith in God

Since when was Christianity the world religion? It's not even the most popular religion.

I once had a friend ask me if anyone had ever "Taken over the world"

I said, no I don't think so. He said think about it, and think about the Catholic Church. Ever hear of the Pope?

I was pretty shocked, since I never had (thought about it). Who has more influence??

I can't remember the source but I read christmas was declared on december 25th to match the winter solstice in an attempt to convert other religions. By matching the dates you could convert them and still have them celebrate their traditions, this way they wouldn't feel a change in identity and would put up less fight.
Same thing happened with halloween, which comes from "All Hallows' Even", at first it was in may, it was then moved to match the "Samhain" celtic celebration. The mexican indians celebrated "El día de los muertos" (The day of the dead) on the end of july and the church forced them to move it to Nov. 2nd. so it would match too.

So I don't think Jesus was actually borned on the 25th of dec. but if you know better, please quote a source and I'll update my knowledge base.

Trad,

you are correct about all of that. christianity was a political problem in the early part of the first millenium AD, and those in power needed to consolidate the splintering groups of christian cults, and pagan sun worshippers. Other changes they made, were moving the holy day to sunday (jewish sabbath is on saturday), the idea of 'god-eating' was taken and manifested in the eucharist (wine and wafers), and finally in the council of nicea the roman emperor and many highly esteemed christians got together to create a standardized version of the bible desigined to make it easy for them to retain their power over the new converts. Christianity was then declared the standard religion of the empire. Those believing alternate versions were convicted of Heresey, and weeded out quickly.
