So, we should execute drunk drivers?

I've always been intrigued by the possible effects of LSD on chess playing. Anyone have any experience?
LSD I can tell you about. I was working in Thailand (maybe it should be called Thighland?🙂 Anyway I was on R&R at the Rama IV hotel and there was this sort of permenant party going on, hell it might be going on still! Anyway someone comes up to me and I have a glass of coke in my hand and the dude says, a buck for a drop of acid, so I go ok, drops it in my coke. So everything is normal for about 20 minutes and I was playing three games simul in the lobby when it started to hit. Luckily it was a fairly light dose, 100 micrograms or so, I think a beginners dose? Anyway the games I was playing started turning surreal, the boards started waviing around, changing sizes and the floor happen to be checkered and IT started acting like chessboards. So there I was playing three games at once and the boards are flopping around like I was in wonderland or something. I thought it very amusing trying to keep my eyes fixed on the boards and stop them moving around! Still won all three games though. Later played another game on a tiny board, playing an aussie, this guy was some kiind of ex rock star and the board had settled down a bit, so I played 4 games that night and don't remember much of anything about the positions, for sure. After that a bunch of us who had also gotten the drop of the pure, as it were, we went out on the roof at about midnight and watched the sunset! Course that was about 5 hours later but we were fascinated by the lights of Bangkok at night.

Yes and no.
It depends on circumstances , if they kill someone whilst driving under the influence then yes execution is an option as i rate that the same as murder. If they dont kill someone then a minimum 5 years jail would be appropriate.
People just have to accept that you can not drink drive, its just not on.

The reason I asked is that you were appluding a post in favor of killing all drunk drivers. Or were you just applauding the post because it attacked me?

Some countries dish out severe penalties ofr drunk driving. Other's do not.

I am firmly against drunk driving. However; I'm not sure that a 5 year jail sentence for a first time offender who does no harm to anyone is justified.

In the US, a lot of people wouldn't survive that sentence. And, there is little or no chance that the person emerges from that experience and becomes a productive member of society.

Mandatory sentencing has generally done more harm than good and we have too many people in jail already.

But, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, even if I am not.

Oh Rednight you spend way to much time worrying .
If 5 years seems harsh then it would certainly deter them from doing it again.
