I saw this subject come up here in this forum, and I've talked about it in my private forum. I'm off to go have one now.
Go to bed Early! No drinking or smoking for best results. It is now 8:30pm here. I'll wake up around 2am or so. Stay up for an hour... and go back to bed.
As I drift off to sleep there will be "shimmy shakes" and perhaps lightning that will try to startle me awake, I must ease through it and not let it disturb me. Once I make it past that I am in the lucid dream realm.
I am not able to fight the dream and try to make things happen, I have to go with what is happening or I'll wake up. I am able to interact with the dream, but forcing anything will blow the dream or wake me up.
Wish me luck, and if you have a few extra hours and evening to give it a try I'd like to hear your results.
Late.

You're a day late, mate! Went to bed around 9, woke up at 2:30-ish, did some work (for work) on the computer, posted and played a little chess I think, and went back to bed (to await the 5:30 alarm). Had a very clear but awful dream. What struck me the most was the vivid details. But if I ever meet a man like that with that scar on his left shoulder blade, I'm going to run faster than an Olympic sprinter!

I used to study lucid dreams and astral travel. Had and OBE (out of body experience) twice and a few lucid dreams, and strange sleep paralysis. If you practice it will come more often. Be wary of the Astral wildlife though. good luck

So how was your dream?
Did you dream that all men were equal? 😛
I was in my private forum and someone posted a game for us all to play. Worms (ever hear of it? Fun game)
I believe SJ started the game, and as soon as it started the land caught on fine and each worm started to hop around and die.. so no one won and we all got mad at her for starting a fun game and killing us all off.

I read about a "dream fish", known around asia or the phillipines, that gives you wild dreams if eaten before bedtime....can't find a reference to it now, though...anyone ever hear of it?

Originally posted by PhlabibitOh, yeah. You have to fight to wake up. Sometimes I try calling for help, but of course I can't make any sound.

It's even more fun when you have the weird conviction that someone is just at the door, trying to get in at you.
Is it sleep apnea?
