I think morbid might be a better word for the whole thread but anyway...what colour are/were the roses?

I tend to say nice things on a Sunday.

It depends on age and circumstance though, I presume.
Indeed. I wouldn't want to go in my sleep at 45. (My next birthday).

At that age one would certainly hope not. Happy birthday in advance, just in case I miss it. I am substantially "older".

I have a few - white, pale yellow, peachy pink, creamy tangerine, magenta pink, cadmium reddish-pink and a burgundy red. Please don't ask me their names as I've lost their labels.

Well they certainly are just "one colour" named. Whatever happened to just red or pink. Why the hyphenated names?

Enjoy your forties. When you get to your sixties you'll start wondering how many summers and Christmases you have left.

Really? Those things have never crossed my mind and I am in my 7th decade.

Edit: What I do ponder is whether or not I still have some scotch left. Gotta go check.

They are all very subtle shades as I don't like primary colours in my garden.

I have some Jura single malt left, enough for a couple of wee drams, one of which I just enjoyed. 🙂
