Humor: Who can tell
The differences in languages where identical words can mean totally different things can be fun - like 'dot' in English is 'prick' in Swedish, a VD in Swedish is Verkställande direktör (Managing Director), 'slut' in Swedish is 'end'.

People often fall victim to the naivety of failing to distinguish humor from seriousness, particularly in today's digital age where the line between jest and earnest can blur. This misunderstanding can lead to misinterpretations and conflicts, as humor is often used as a coping mechanism or a way to lighten the mood, while seriousness is intended to convey genuine emotions ...[text shortened]... g that humor is a form of communication that requires skill and sensitivity to navigate effectively.

@fmf saidI used to work with a woman who could get away with saying the most outrageous thing at the seemingly most inappropriate moment and get away with it, making others smile every time.
Some people are lacking in the sense of humour department. It needs saying sometimes.
I told her she was in the wrong job and that she should be on the stage.
I recall reading this a while back. It stated that humor incorporates sarcasm, irony, satire, and timing—these are the four fundamental components that constitute humor.
"Why did the square get kicked out of the art class? It kept drawing itself as a perfect rectangle, which, according to the teacher, was "the height of creativity" – but only if you're trying to fit into a standard frame without any personal flair!"
This too was something I encountered a while back. It was stated that it combined the basic elements of humor. However, I fail to see it, although others may have a keener eye for humor.
"Why did the humorless man start a support group for those without a sense of humor? Because he realized that if he couldn't make anyone else laugh, he needed to find a community where he wouldn't feel so alone in his inability to crack a smile. He thought it would be a great opportunity to share his unique brand of humor, which, ironically, left everyone else feeling like they were in a room full of mirrors – reflecting back his own lack of mirth!"
