A touché nonetheless.
Swapping pieces away is my tactic. If swapping will not be what is happening, likely my opponent makes an error getting the to-be-swapped piece somewhere safe. Anyway, I win most of my games in the end, forcing a slight advantage in that endgame that will bring me the win, and the lowest risk of blundering that advantage away again. Getting the queen out in an attempt to swap it away does not necessary make my chess play bad. It really is a nice technique against 1500's and 1600's, I have experienced.

look my point is i could go out and purposely try to trade off all my pieces with a high ranked player and get a draw. it ain't that hard, but it doesn't achieve anything in my chess skills. no, you have to use your pieces, not lose them! that's what chess is about, not being the best loser, but winning because you are the best.
You don't half talk a load of shyte!

Exchanging pieces successfully with a better player and earning the draw is of course great chess. You make it out to sound easy.

Nobody can try to tell me that I wasn't playing chess, when I achieved this draw against a player upto 450 points above me. Game 913545

You don't half waffle on.

Anyway, it's because you haven't completed 5 games yet.

nice game. you argue my point!
I severely doubt it.

I would never presume to speak for the rest of the site in saying that a player wasn't playing real chess. Especially, when in doing so, you demonstrate a complete lack of opening knowledge, especially of the Petrof Defence.

I don't think you have a very good understanding of chess, definitely not good enough to be saying this to players...

"hmmmm, i'm not too sure how to tell you this, but at this chess site we don't usually play our chess by using our queen to fanny around protecting the king. if you continue to play your chess in such an inadequate manner then i imagine you would not want your rating to be updated for the simple fact it wouldn't be as respectable if you had TRIED A LITTLE HARDER! "

I was constantly looking for opportunities in that game to exchange pieces. Of course, I can't just offer up pieces for the exchange willy nilly. I have to try to make sure that I'm not going to be disadvantaged either positionally or materially. I can assure you, my aim in that game was to exchange as much as possible.

I would just like to mention, that at this chess site we don't usually call the knight the horsey.

Hi ferdyrojo,

i have played over your game against "Ithrowwith clocks", a full member here at red hot PAWN.

hmmmm, i'm not too sure how to tell you this, but at this chess site we don't usually play our chess by using our queen to fanny around protecting the king. if you continue to play your chess in such an inadequate manner then i imagine you woul ...[text shortened]... good time here at RHP, but i also hope you learn to play your chess "better". thank you.
I'm not too sure how to tell you this - err yes I am, you are a plonker!

I'd like to see how you manage an easy draw against a high rated player by exchanging pieces. Or against anyone actually - you need to do a little bit more than exchange pieces.
