I do, if you mean it.
OpusDei on the other hand hasn't posted anything since and hasn't moved since 16h52 yesterday, shortly after you posted. I hope he's not been put off the site for good.

I am sorry. After reading what everybody had to say, I realized that what I said was stupid and childesh. I didn't ealize how much of a bigot I sounded like. OpusDei, I am sorry, do you accept my apology? Does everybody accept my apology?
I do think it's a good thing whenever anyone admits they're wrong and is sensitive to the possibility they've personally hurt another , though . Kudos for that Samdogg .
If you truly are sorry, I am going to ask you to do something to prove it. Of course I have no way of knowing if you will do this, but you would know, and that is the most important thing. Go out and do something in support of gays and lesbians. Make a friend who is gay or lesbian. Join a g/l club or organization. Support g/l events.
I know this sounds silly to some and I know this may not be easy to do. But if it makes you more aware of the difficulties in being g/l in society, well, maybe that will educate you a bit and help you to be more understanmding?

But Samdogg you should also understand that you probably are already friends with , work with , or related to someone who is gay ; you just don't know this about them . It may be a best friend you trust , an employee you rely on , a brother you love as much as your own life . Statisticly it's been estimated as high as 1 in 10 males are gay or bi . Chances are you already have someone very close to you who is "batting for the other team" . Think about all the nasty things you think about gays/bis and aply that to the person sitting next to you . Is it really a true characterization of them ? The point is , they're not a "group" like nazis , or communists , terrorists ; they're people , individuals like you and I . I generalized "them" in terms of being a depersonalized group for for years . Then I wittnessed the pain of a close trusted friend going through the proccess of "comming out " . I can never depersonalize "them" again . Yes I can joke with my gay friends , it eases the tension . But it's just like when someone teases me about being a red-head . There's great empathy behind the humor . Try to walk a mile in the shoes of someone who's gay and not come out before you make statements about gays .
