Is it valid for anyone to make such claims? It is not against the TOS to point out what others have said on the forum is untrue.

However, perhaps you should re-read the threads whick kicked this all off, and have another think about the way you responded to EveRyDay's first few posts. He came into the forum to state that he enjoys taking about chess to people who listen, yet usually avoids public forums because of the backlash that weaker players (and probably jealous too) lampoon on people of his strength. You have no right to ask him to prove his credentials, or for him to justify anything. If he prefers the anonymity of an internet chess site to improve as he works his way towards becoming an IM, then that should be afforded to him.
The embarrassing circus of taunts and lack of respect shown by you and CMSmaster among others was totally unjustified and you should owe him an apology, yet instead 2 months on, you continue to egg this pudding, instead of letting it go.
I would like you to re-read the two threads in question (you know which ones they are) and ask yourself - if the roles were reversed and you were an Englishman posting on a hungarian chess website and you were trying to justify your own chess strength in Hungarian, whether you would be able to get your point across without any misunderstanding?
I don't think so.
Cut the guy some slack.

You are the one who needs to get to grips with the situation. You have falsely accused me of conducting a witch-hunt and making cheating accusations which I haven't. Nobody is going to bat an eyelid if you express an opinion i.e. the Grob or the King Gambit is better than opening Y or Z.
However if you attempt to distort well known chess truths and then cover up by accusing others of making "cheating accusations" you are only fooling yourself.
There was another similar boast regarding a player whose friend could see 9 out of 10 computer moves. However the author of those claims retracted them and that is now behind us.

@Horsey that's a good point, well look at Xanthos to provide an idea.
@Xanthos (my Firefox spell checker wants to call you anthropologist), why don't you do as Horsey suggested and contribute a chess article? Perhaps you could dispel the myth that over2000 CC players have a life outside the debates forum.
