I find the silliest thing to be that Dominator and Ravello are not even Americans! I'll wager to say that they have never even visited America, yet they find it necessary to bash our President!
Thanks for caring, but we'll handle our country from here on out, OK?
This is a public forum, everyone is free to argue USA,Bush or whatever they want, you like it or not.
Originally posted by RavelloI think it's also important to mention that since that president is currently attempting to pick up the pin of world stability with the boxing gloves of military power, that everyone has a right to express their views, American or not. Britain is currently being dragged around by the nose by Bush, so I feel I have the right to say whatever I want about him. His actions have an effect on the entire world, why should it stay quiet while he does whatever he does?

Then get back out.
On reflection I suppose it is a free world and people are entitled to say what they want. If I don't like it then I can always turn the other way.
Peace to the world, and have a good weekend πππ

Then I reflected and realized you do not need nor deserve such treatment. And I also gave it more thought on my drive to work today and thought maybe I could fling you a challenge and we could stop the nonsense and perhaps become friends within this community.
I apologize if I have offended you. It was not my intent. I will say you came off as a little self righteous to me and it got under my skin.
I will set up a board and you can accept if you choose to. I will not be offended if you don't. But it is time to put this behind us.

Go back to the first post from dominator, and your first post, Ravello. They were attacking all Bush supporters. If you had an intelligent argument or comment, that would be fine, but I took offense to your post. I rarely post in the forums, anyways, but it flames me up when people are attacked for their political views, religeon, race, etc.
I am a husband and father with strong religeous beliefs, and a law enforcement officer with a college education. I voted for Bush, and nobody has the right to call me a fool, even over the internet where there is no consequence for your words.
One more point: If England attacked Germany in the mid 1930's, citing military and weapons violations, there would have been just as much criticism as there is for the Iraq war today. If Germany's mobilization would not have been ignored...

I admit I thought my post was a bit self righteous too. I'm up for a game - lets go for it. π
I could say a few things about bush's angle on politics and the fools who fall for it.....but others already have....................
"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervour, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded with patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader, and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done, and I am Caesar."
William Shakespeare
"Of course the people don't want war . . . But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship . . . Voice or no voice, the people can always to brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy.
All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.
It works the same in any country."
— Field Marshal Herman Goering who served as Adolph Hitler's second in command and head of the Luftwaffe in World War II Germany, during a post war discussion.
"They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety."
--Benjamin Franklin
"Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction."
--Ronald Reagan
"If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that if it is comfort that it values more, it will lose that too."
--W. Somerset Maugham
There is no “slippery slope” toward loss of liberties, only a long staircase where each step downward must first be tolerated by the American people and their leaders

1) Then - Record Surplus Now - Record Deficit
2) WMDs in Iraq
3) Halliburton No Bid Contract
4) The USA Patriot Act
5) DICK Cheney!
6) Tax cuts for billionaires, while you have to work hard for the measley little paycheck - and if you are white collar don't look for that O/T.
7) NOW PAY ATTENTION -- The world and the middle east are a thousand time more unstable than they were four years ago. Violence begets violence!
Like I said, there really isn't enough space to put it all out there, but there are a few reason why people think that you are a moron for voting for a moron.
