Actually at 17 I just didn't know at the time, I figured I just liked to party on the weekends. Didn't know I couldn't do without it, or even thought much about it at that time.

I was running a business at 24...I am not proud of the alcoholism, but I am proud to have beat it. It drags many people down, or keeps them where they are for years instead of going up the ladder.

What many don't understand is you don't have to be homeless or pennyless to be an alcoholic. Judges, lawyers, Doctors, Business Men, fireman, Priests, Ministers. It can affect anyone. You could be one and not even realize you are, or admit it. That is the first step to being cured, is admitting you do have a problem.

They are always after me to give speeches about my battle. I am starting to think seriously of doing it. Even if it helped one person I would have done some good.
