Actually at 17 I just didn't know at the time, I figured I just liked to party on the weekends. Didn't know I couldn't do without it, or even thought much about it at that time.
I was running a business at 24...I am not proud of the alcoholism, but I am proud to have beat it. It drags many people down, or keeps them where they are for years instead of ...[text shortened]... g to think seriously of doing it. Even if it helped one person I would have done some good.

You are an alcoholic for life is what they say, and probably true. Only if you can't stand the smell of the stuff, there is a pretty good chance you will never touch it again.
Same with the cigs I quit back in 2004. I can't stand the smell of them either. Most people who smoke smell like an ashtray. Yea I know, I most likely did too.
It seems like a life time away for me now.

OH, I see you are just looking for an argument.
You must be a Phlabs fan club admirer.
Carry on, nothing to see here.

I have it beat, I know it, and that is all that really matters.
It makes me wonder. Are you an alcholic and not able to beat it?
You seem almost jealous of the FACT that I HAVE!
Originally posted by Very RustyI am jealous of everything of you honey ... your wealth and physical strength, and your ability to raise far more children then others can, and you quit smoking and has beaten alcoholism even when you haven't had a drink since 1992. I LOVE YOU!!! YOU ARE A GOD! I really mean that

I am not allowed to call you an idiot here, but boy are you stupid!

You don't have to admit on here if you don't want to. I know how tough that can be at first. In the long run, you help yourself which is never a bad thing.
Don't you mean my ability to raise children without beating/hitting/spanking, them!
Yes, I am quite proud of that fact.
I worked for the monetary situation I have, it wasn't handed to me, so yes I am very proud of that also.
The smoking was probably harder than the drinking to quit, when I think back on it. Thank you for your wonderful honest compliments. 😉
I have been called God-Like before, Thank You kindly for acknowledging that fact. 😉
