thanks Nordyls, yeah i remember that rule now, i was setting up the new lap top and wanted to quickly get on and play some chess and forgot all about that . i'm a stiff in chess anyway , not exactly a threat to be reckoned with. I'll check with someone to straighten it out. thanks again, big b.
