I met someone on the internet, and I think tha I might have more than just a feeling of fondness for him. Unfortunately he lives about half way around the world and is 8 years older than me.. Should i keep this relationship going? or maybe just be a longtime friend. (he's also really hot, and has no idea how to play chess ^_^) awwww just thinking of him gets me so hyper...hehehe

I have a friend that has had an internet relationship for about five years now. They still haven't met personally, but have had phone conversations, and of course, many internet conversations with *hugs* and *kiss* in every sentence.
Talk about dedication! He is finally coming here to New Zealand after this half-decade to meet his girl of his dreams, and my friend seems overly eager to show him off to all her friends and take him around town once he arrives here in late July.
It's not my cup of tea to have an internet relationship. Actually, it's not my cup of tea to have a relationship at all, but you see, that is entirely what it is dependant on. If it is your cup of tea, then drink it.
I know many people with Internet relationships, and several have married. I am in love with a man in Wales and I am in Texas. You have to work harder with an online relationship, but it can be very rewarding.
At 12, you do need to be careful. talk with your parents about it.
Why is it they always say the perverts are 50 years old?
Do you suppose at 50 you atutomatically become a pervert? 😀

But here are a few matters to ponder:
1. You're only gonna be a child once. Enjoy it.
2. You never know what someone on the internet looks like.
3. Most internet relationships fail.
4. People fall in love by sense of smell.
5. Meeting new people is what counts.
6. If you're falling in love with someone on the internet, you're not getting out enough.
You ask for advice? Stop the relationship.
1. It's illegal (if he's 20 and you're 12).
2. Go out and play.
3. Meet new people.
4. Talk to new people and be genuinly interested.
5. Go and sit in a park and read a book.
Seriously.
I first met my fiancée playing games against her over the internet, that was a few years ago. After about 6 months of playing games, we decided to meet up as friends. Shortly after that, after meeting up a few times, we decided to give us a try.
So my point is, to anyone thinking of having a relationship with someone over the net, don't rush it!
