In 61 minutes the future becomes the past and the past gets repeated. Scary.

Time is linear. The present is a gift given to each of us one day at a time. Period.

January 1st 1950 is the present.

Our model of time is linear. I'm not sure if time itself is though.

To say in no uncertain terms that time is linear is to suggest that time had a starting point
in the distant past and will come to an end sometime in the future. How do you know this?

Clearly taught in the OT Genesis account of creation, gap and restoration which

I readily accept as part of God's revelation to human creatures. Looks like this:

ETERNITY PAST) -------------> [time, human history]------------> (ETERNITY FUTURE

It's not quite symmetrical. There are 13 hyphons in the left arrow and only 12 in the right hand side one. Is this a typo or does it have some religious significance?

Funny you started this thread, Trev! Because it occurred to me tonight that we might be turning the clocks back so I looked it up. According to ask.com, we don't turn the clocks back until November 6th?

I'm assuming this is about turning the clocks back.

It's going to be funny if what I looked up is correct. Trev is going to wake up an hour late tomorrow... depressed that he missed an hour of football matchup discussions. LOL! 😀

I have found that so many things when carried out to the Nth degree, become infinity.

This leads to my belief that the reality we live in, isn't reality at all. But that's another discussion.

Anyway, this thing we call "present" doesn't really exist, but for an infinitely small clip of time. Generally speaking, there is no such thing as present. Only past and future.

Before the Book of Genesis was published, how did God reveal the beginning and end of time to human creatures?
