I think we can all agree that the forums are in a bit of a trough at the moment. One of the reasons given for this trough are the amount of personal attacks going on in the forums. The objective of this thread is to discuss what constitutes an "attack", and what, if anything, can be done to prevent future attacks.
I've been observing a self-proclaimed ...[text shortened]... ese types of attacks on valued members of the community.

The fact is that the gutter carp want the forum to themselves and when they couldn't have it, a bunch of them quit.

In some respects, posting anothers posts to try and discredit them or for any self serving purpose, is an attack of sorts. Just as my post here maybe considered an attack on you. Anytime one disagrees with a post, and then post his disagreement this could be construed as an attack on the original poster.
I agree with your post Ragnorak, but I also thin ...[text shortened]... ing their knickers in a bind. In some cases, I think, people need to wear a little tougher skin.
