There are so many answers to that question.

Like most of the people on this forum, I usually ignore you and your insane notions. I'll make one exception.

Come on,....

Do you really not see any reason why the owners of this site might not want people using Swastikas as avatars?

Do you really not see how that might offend people?

Do you really not see why that might be inappropriate?

Now anticipating your free speech argument, I have one and only one question for you:

Is this a public forum where free speech is protected?

It is showing nude malnourished Jews in a Nazi camp.

That would be allowed if you ran RHP, wouldn't it?
Discussing the holocaust?

or

celebrating the atrocities by proudly displaying pictures of the victims?

It's a public forum where free speech is encouraged; a heavily censored public forum is pointless.

Any image of a swastika is "offensive"? How about this one: http://legalinformationmanagement.com/dbtw-wpd/images/SWCDAP/2002-050-009-01.jpg

Only on RHP and only with defrauder involved will you get this sort of exchange:

You know what I meant: public forum as defined by the courts.

How exactly are you able to read the minds of other users here? It's most impressive that you can know the reasons why someone would use a particular avatar.

I repeat: how exactly is that image "anti-Semitic"? Do you think the first impression of American soldiers who reached these camps was "WOW! Look at these malnourished Jews; boy, I hate them?"

You'll find many such images in the archives of the Simon Weisenthal Center. Is SW an anti-Semite?

No one ever said it was. But excessive censorship strikes at the core purpose of public forums even on private sites.

My point was to show the obvious differences between that picture and a swastika.

"public forum" is a term of art.

You know that.

This is not a public forum

It would have been ignorant of me, if I knew it was a fictional character, if I knew it was Kunte Kinte, and I still 'ran' to the Admin, to request its removal. That's ignorance.
Now you know it is Kunta Kinte. Will you request the site admin I may have a picture of Kunta Kinte back as my avatar and profile picture?

You could of course have handled this way better by once sending me a PM with the simple question asking what my avatar was refering too without running to the site admin with unfounded bias towards me as a person. I do take offence you consider me a racist.
