Insightful, and engaging. I found myself agreeing with everything he said until the very end: to make the world a little bit better. I think the purpose of each one of us needs to be with an eye on the inevitability of the world, that the world is inherently amiss and beyond our control to 'fix.'

When seen as the cosmic foil to our best efforts, the goals shift from the impossible global to the possible molecular: I cannot change the world, but I can fight against its gravity on my own front porch.
