I recently had an oil change also my tires were fine. No inflation required! 😉

A thing that I find fascinating about Americans is that you all build your houses out of wood.

Why is that?

It can't have anything to do with cost as you say yourself lumber is expensive.

Then a hurricane comes and turns your house into matchsticks.

Why don't you build your house out of concrete like we do?

Most houses built here pre world war 2 are pre cast concrete. Modern houses are bricks and mortar with plastering over that and some are pebble dashed.

Wood is only used for windows and floors.

A lot of modern dwellings now use PVC for windows.

We used to be stuck with only white but now you can have your windows and front door any colour you want.

Will be interesting to see what happens during the summer and if they keep the needing a test to enter/return and during quarantine. When they abolish all that rubbish I’d imagine flights and hotels won’t be expensive as they’ll be desperate to get people back and I assume people will want to get away when possible.
