It is interesting that you bring up Stedman as this same person making this point said that if she were so damn smart about relationships, as she claims, why isn't she married to him.
One, I think the guy is a wuss. Two, she must not see anyone out there who is sponge-worthy.
Don't misunderstand my admiration, though. While I admire much of what she has done, I by no means consider her sacrosanct. My view of her impact has more to do with the vaccum of solid men for women to follow.
When I happen upon her show (once or twice a year), I am continually repulsed by the look of awe on the faces of the women in the audience, almost as if they are being visited by God.

Kirk, you should write Oprah and ask her whether it is possible you appear on her show as a "Spiritual Counselor". I'm sure you'll be a succes .... Tell her I support your application .... she'll understand.

You can perform under your nick "Captain Kirk" ......... ["Captain Kirk, always right on course"]

How about it ?

Why do women need a man to follow, solid or otherwise?

Tell the truth. Does she cite Oprah to convince you that she knows more than you? I even see the reference to Oprah in your RHP faces pic.

My wife doesn't have to convince me that she knows more than me...

A reference to Oprah in my RHP faces pic? Was Leonard Maltin's Movie Guide on her book club list? 😀

To tell them when it's time to bake and clean.

In John Irving's masterpiece, The World According to Garp, the Ellen Jamesians were the rabid feminists who identified with Ellen James who was raped and had her tongue cut out to keep from telling who did it to her (I don't know why she couldn't write it down) by cutting their own tongues off. They pretty much only related to themselves and hated all men because of this one act.

I will rarely see a man in Oprah's audience. Ivanhoe, you'll appreciate this. There is a book out and I'm sorry that I can't recall the name of it, but it is written by this woman (imagine that) who likens Oprah to church and a new religion. Do you think it will be necessary for Benedictus to issue an opinion on this?

Because without us, women are like puppies, or newborn babes.
