Ivanhoe, are you familiar wit the Ellen Jamesians?
Back to the original topic...
I used to date a crazy girl who watched Oprah all the time and worshopped the ground she walked on. All I can say is that she caused me nothing but headaches. And now, I'm sure she's inflicting the same misery on the unlucky bastard that married her.

In John Irving's masterpiece, The World According to Garp, the Ellen Jamesians were the rabid feminists who identified with Ellen James who was raped and had her tongue cut out to keep from telling who did it to her (I don't know why she couldn't write it down) by cutting their own tongues off. They pretty much only related to themselves and hated all me ...[text shortened]... religion. Do you think it will be necessary for Benedictus to issue an opinion on this?
What ?
Originally posted by ivanhoeThere ain't no way in hell I'm doing that. Like they're going to go hunting and hang out wit the boys just to understand us better? I don't think so. But we live in a culture where it is the man's responsibility to cross over and understand them as we is so messed up.
One good advice for young (and old) men wanting to be able to understand their girl-friends and women: Watch ALL the TV programs she watches, in particular Oprah, and be sure you read ALL the books and magazines she reads ....... if you don't you will soon lose track of her ..... guaranteed !
Go back and read rbmorris' post. I can just hear it: "oprah got everyone in the audience a car. Why can't you do that for me?" "Oprah bought everyone in the audience (except the two men) designer jeans and I think if Oprah can do that for strangers, you should do it for me to show you how much you love me." "Oprah says you need to listen to my inner feelings."
Ivanhoe, I think the Pope needs to step up to the plate on this one.
